The Okanagan 48 Hour Film Project returns for its 4th annual screening at Powerhouse Theatre in Vernon on Friday, June 5, 2026. Doors open at 5pm with the screening starting at 6pm.

Over one wild weekend, filmmaking teams from across the Okanagan were handed a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, then given just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and deliver a complete short film. The results are now ready for the big screen, and you're invited to see what local creativity can pull off under the tightest of deadlines.

Expect comedy, drama, horror, sci-fi, and everything in between, all made by your neighbours, friends, and the Okanagan film community. Come cheer on the teams and celebrate independent filmmaking.
